After several years of working as a bible school instructor at Bungoma Bible School, the Lord put it in the heart of Pastor Justus Ochuro to begin a church. In obedience to this, the Word of Life Christian Fellowship opened its doors on the 23rd of February 1997.
Through Bungoma Bible School, a number of open air crusades have been held since the church began. Through the crusades, the Word of God has been preached, and prevailed in the people’s hearts. Many of those who got saved have joined the church, while others have joined nearby churches.
Today, Word of Life Christian Fellowship has approximately 700 members and has 43 sister churches throughout Kenya and one in the United States (Word of Life Church, Jackson, MS).
